✨ How to Participate in Hacktoberfest (Official Steps)

To take part in the official Hacktoberfest program:

📝 Step 1: Register at hacktoberfest.com before the end of October
💻 Step 2: Contribute to public repositories on GitHub labeled with the hacktoberfest tag
🔧 Step 3: Submit valid Pull Requests (PRs) between October 1st and October 31st
✅ Step 4: Ensure your contributions meet Hacktoberfest’s contribution guidelines to count

We strongly encourage everyone to register officially. Meanwhile, i-CES will also run its own contribution tracking, leaderboard, and reward system alongside the global event.

✨ Club-Specific Rules & Rewards

🧩 Contribution Rules

Only PRs made during October will be counted
You must submit PRs to public repositories only
A minimum of 5 merged PRs is required to qualify for final recognition

🧮 Point System

⭐ 1 point for every valid Pull Request created
🏅 2 points for every Pull Request that gets merged
📊 Points will be tracked internally based on your GitHub activity

🏆 Weekly Leaderboard

Every week, the Top 5 contributors based on the points system will be announced.

🎁 Final Rewards

At the end of October, the Top 5 contributors from the final week will receive:
🏅 A personalized digital badge hosted online
📣 A shoutout on i-CES social media platforms to celebrate your achievement 🎉

Once you submit the registration form:
